Why be in a relationship

Partner relationships   Why we want to be ... in a Relationship

Good Relationships are good for You!

Some good reasons!

People in supportive, loving relationships
feel, healthier, happier, and satisfied with their life.

People are less likely to have
mental or physical health problems.

It's more fun to travel through life with another person
to have companionship
and share highs and lows, success and failures.

What kind of
Relationship do
you want?
Do you just want a One night stand ?

Do you just want to date,
have fun, and no responsibilities
?

Do you want your relationship to be casual and just be friends,
like go to dinner, movies, etc, whenever?

Do you want to move in
and live together?

Do you want to get serious,
get married and maybe have children?

Guidelines
to consider!

You both need to communicate and be
clear about what you both want, upfront!

Examples:

Situations like "no","fun" and
"I don't want a serious relationship right now"
have to be clearly defined, from the start.

If you want to find a partner it's cool to date
so you get to know about the other person.
Try not to get emotionally involved before you know
where you stand, or you can risk getting caught
in a situation that can cause you pain.

Some people just marry to avoid being alone in life,
not a wise move. The relationship may not survive.

It's great to be completely at ease with someone,
to be close emotionally, intellectually, physically.
To be able to communicate without fear of being judged,
to have your identity accepted and to provide the same
for that person!

To have another person who you respect,
to give you another opinion when you need it.
Have the ability to differ in opinion or even argue,
but still have respect for that person and continue to communicate.
