formal relationship (Marriage or employment ) |
Key points: Use time for 'learning & testing' in relationship development. Some forward moves overstep the comfort zone of other party. There is the promise of better times / rewards in the future. Understand that you are building a 'team'. (See Game of Life) Extra points - employment Assembled teams usually have a finite time period. People grow in experience and want new relationships. The other part of the relationship may decline with time. To continue the relationship, you may need to start again. Top |
| Unofficial links (Industry groups & cartells) |
Key points: A 'club' environment is usually seen as neutral ground. Casual discussions may have serious ramifications. The 'grapevine' can be used to learn & stay aware / alert. Too much alcohol, (with a loss of control), can creates 'issues.' Extra points - cartells Cartells in most Western Countries are now illegal. Unofficial links that might 'fix' prices etc are prosecuted. (Example Visy Board in Australia fined $36 million in 2007) Top |
| Loose links in the community between family & friends (Neighbours & distant relatives' reunion) |
Key points: There's usually a common bond or activity to bring people together. Links can be one-off or continuous associations. There can be many sub-links depending on who you like better. These links help new people join into a community. Common 'props' are the same school, pets & need a for help. Extra points - family reunions Consider pre-planning by starting a website with pics & names Highlight the friends and family links Link in with a special event, book release or similar. |
| Links between opposite forces |
Key points:
Dec 24 1914 in France & sanity reined between opposing forces. |
| Mentoring links to guide & coach |
Key points: Mentoring success depends on mutual respect. It also depends on the effectiveness of two way communications. There is usually no payment for the support tips & guidelines. The relationship usually develops with time. Links can last a few moments or many months or years. Top |
| Instant teams (such as emergencies) |
Key points: In big cities, group members may not be known to each other. In local environments, group members maybe aware of each other. The leader and followers usually get defined relatively quickly. If the leader is not aware of all the detail, decisions could be wrong. A SWAT Team is not an informal grouping, but a highly disciplined team of single focused specialists. An instant emergency team can be better than some SWAT Teams because the instant team is more flexible and accepting of alternate ideas to get a solution. Top |
