The
'Out of the blue'
event
We all know that we are not immortal
and sickness and death can come "out of the blue"
with no respector of age.

My husband was diagnosed with a brain tumour.
He was just 48.

This followed fom a car accident in which his vehicle was written off.
He survived to find out that a seizure had caused him to black out,
the cause being the tumour.

The
acceptance
and then ...
what does
it all mean

Not only do you go through the shock,
denial, the inability to run your business
and earn your living,
you have to try and understand
an illness that changes the personality
and behaviour of someone you have known for 30 years.

Then watching ...
after a 5 year illness ...
them passing away........

What can I say?
The greatest comfort of all
is other people being supportive
and still including you in their lives
and not distancing themselves
from you.

Preventative
maintenance
Keep connected
in good times ... and in bad

Home

After my Dad died, he was cremated
and his ashes disbursed under a rose bush
in the local cemetery.

Oops, he was supposed to be placed
in a memorial wall in Adelaide.

Well, he was gathered up
and there is something in Adelaide
behind the plaque in the wall ...
but I believe his 'heart' may still be
in this part of the world!
