Follow install instructions.
Keep at least 1 m from aircons &fluro (energy saving) lights.
Avoid 'dead air' areas in corners etc.
Put outside bedrooms
Put inside bedrooms if door often closed & heaters are used.
 
Smoke alarms should be replaced every 10 years.
Replace batteries each year or as soon as fail alarm sounds.
Test alarms monthly. (Use end of broom to reach test button)

Pass system


The 1234 PASS System

Remove the pin,
aim at the base of the fire,
squeeze the handle to start it
and sweep from side to side.

Dry powder extinguishers
should be pressure tested
every 6 years. If partially
discharged, the extinguisher
requires a refill.
