	The what, why, when & where* questions to be answered ..*
What ...	What kind of work am I interested in. What is available? Would some training or web searching help me?
Why ...	Why do I want to work? To buy a car in a couple of years? School fees? Summer camp?
When ...	When can I work? What (shift) hours could I get? Do my folks approve? Have my parents set a limit on hours per week? How old do I have to be before I can start to work? (You are legally able to work when you are 14 years and nine months!) I know I need to *balance* homework and work. School and homework should still be my #1 priority.
Where ...	Where should I look for work? Should I look outside my home suburb? Do I start with the local fast food outlets? Do I talk with friends and neighbours that might be able to help?
... and now the how stuff
	You need to be reliable, honest, and have a smile on your face. You need to know what kind of job you want, whether you are suitable and enjoy what you are doing. A job is a big commitment. Taking up a part time job, helps you to grow both personally, and professionally. Try to get a job that is close to home, (less travelling.) Need to put together a Resume Even if you haven't worked before this needs to be done. It shows your prospective employer that you are serious, and it says a bit about yourself. Appearance is important: Make sure you are well groomed, well dressed, hair tidy and trimmed if necessary, clean fingernails, fresh breath, and deodorant - not over the top! Get there early: Allow yourself at least five minutes before the interview, have a few deep breaths, be prepared, refresh your memory, and be relaxed. As a teenager it can be a huge task to find a job. Being requested to sign an Australian Workplace Agreement (AWA) Get an adult to check over your AWA. (Sign up for a max of 1 year.) If you have to do shift work, think carefully, as to what hours and how long, you need to make sure your not over-doing it; sleep is important too! Warning Take care and avoid jobs where you are asked to work for some time without being paid, supposedly under the concept of "training". A business that is keen to have you work for them will pay you even when you are training/qualifying. Such firms abuse people and often when you believe you are about to start being paid, they say that you are not suitable and you have to leave ... no pay ... and then that repeat the same scam with others.

Creating a perfect Resume:

Keep it short, one page if possible.
Be neat, use bullet points where necessary.
Be honest about your work experience and skills.
Ask someone to check over your resume.
Include your name, address, phone number, mobile, email address.
List your education level, awards, honors.
Also contact information for 2 or 3 referees.

You may need to do a cover letter,
that says how you found out about the position,
and reasons why you are interested in the job.
You might explain how your qualifications fit the position,
and why you want to work in the firm.
