Anxious   Cannot make Decisions
  Back

(1) Assemble the options,
brainstorm to expand the ways forward if thought necessary
and maybe include those
who might be affected by your decision.

For each option,
(2) evaluate the outcomes,
maybe list the for's and against's for each.

Don't worry,
about being 100% certain on every decision,
just (3) use your memory, reasoning and insight
to choose an outcome
in an appropriate amount of time
so there are no backlogs
to clutter your thinking.

If you have the chance
(4) review the decisions made
and how you can improve
your future decision making.

People can lose the capacity to make decisions,
following head injuries, a stroke or dementia.
At this time, medical tests may be required to
appoint a legal Guardian. Click here for support info.

Other related matters include 'living powers of attorney'
(often available as a standard document at newsagents)
and public trustee issues.
